A special book club just for new readers, ages 5 to 8! Sign up, pick up the book and read it ahead, then join in the fun! We will play games, read from the book, and more!

Bear and Squirrel are friends. Yes, really! While bears may normally eat squirrels, this friendship is different. Many bears might think of squirrels as delicious midnight snacks, but not this Bear! But...what happens when Bear gets really, really, REALLY hungry? Can this friendship last? Find out in Deb Pilutti's wonderful book, Bear and Squirrel are Friends...Yes Really!. Each child signed up will receive a free copy of the book, available at the First Floor Reference Desk. Librarian Amelia will lead a short book discussion, and then all will participate in snack, an activity, and a craft.

And join us in March for Authors in Chelsea to get your book signed by the author!
