Every house has a story to tell, if only the walls could talk! Join volunteers from the Chelsea Area Historical Society and Chelsea District Library librarian Gabrielle to start your journey. We'll cover and demonstrate how to use the mostly free online and hard copy resources that are available to home history buffs, including county deed archives, census records, digitized newspapers, Library of Congress archives, and others. We'll also share an example of what you might discover when you become a home history sleuth.
The Chelsea District Library is a single branch library serving the City of Chelsea and surrounding townships. The library has 4 small study rooms, one medium meeting room, and the McKune room, our main programming room.
