Join our Volunteer of the Year 2025, Glenn Clapp, and learn how to play chess, or sharpen your skills.

The Rookery Chess Club, led by Glenn Clapp, meets at the library on Tuesdays and is open to drop-ins! Join in to practice chess. Beginners welcome!
 

Registration not required. This club meets in various rooms throughout the library depending on the time of year. Check the calendar or call a librarian for help. 734-475-8732 x 209.

The Chelsea District Library is a single branch library serving the City of Chelsea and surrounding townships. The library has 4 small study rooms, one medium meeting room, and the McKune room, our main programming room.
