Make a fused glass tile that will be used to decorate the Timbertown Park Pathway to Renewal! Open to community members who did NOT participate in the clay tile workshop in January or February.
The Pathway to Renewal is Chelsea's art mosaic of reflection, beauty, and grace at TimberTown Park and was created in 2003 in response to the tragic deaths in the community in the early 2000s. An effort is underway to repair and celebrate the mosaic. This maker event, led by award-winning glass artist Kelly Barkley, provides community members the opportunity to be part of the Mosaic's renewal through the creation of a 4" fused glass tile that reflects the themes of Hope, Healing, Helping, and Renewal. After the tiles are fired/fused, they will be installed next spring into new vertical steel sculptures created by metal artist fabricator Vince Walz. All tile makers are invited to the ribbon cutting to see their tile in place.
Please sign up for only one fused glass tile workshop. One tile per household.
