Teens entering the 7th grade in the 2025-2026 school year can start volunteering with the YSG this summer!

Our big Summer Reading Program doesn't happen without help from our YSG (Youth Service Group) volunteers!  Our hardworking teen volunteers help with setup and takedown of our fun-packed summer schedule - and WE NEED YOU!  Teens who will be in the 7th grade in the 2025-2026 school year can sign up and join the YSG.

HOW TO BECOME A YSG VOLUNTEER

* Be in 7th grade or above

* Fill out an application online OR paper

* Get a parent's signature

* Attend one of three orientation sessions

The Chelsea District Library is a single branch library serving the City of Chelsea and surrounding townships. The library has 4 small study rooms, one medium meeting room, and the McKune room, our main programming room.
