Peter Case: A Million Miles Away
This film walks a million miles in the shoes of one of America's last great troubadours.
Martin Bandyke
Martin has an extensive background in music and radio, and a passion for film. In addition to working as the morning drive host and host of the show Fine Tuning at Ann Arbor 's 107one from 2006 to 2022, Martin is also a journalist whose material has been published in the Detroit Free Press and AnnArbor.com/MLive. Martin's love of music began early: he attributes his passion to his father Ted Bandyke who brought brought home 45s and albums from the Detroit record store he worked at when martin was young. He played in bands himself, and worked at brick and mortar record stores in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1983, he began his radio host career at WDET-FM in Detroit, and stayed with the station until 2005. During his time as a radio host, Martin was able to delve into film and cinema while interviewing organizers of the Ann Arbor Film Festival. This is not Martin's first time hosting a film screening series: Martin Bandyke's Moving Pictures events have taken place at the Michigan Theater and the Ann Arbor District Library.
The Chelsea District Library is a single branch library serving the City of Chelsea and surrounding townships. The library has 4 small study rooms, one medium meeting room, and the McKune room, our main programming room.
