Surrogate by Lauren Knox Mounsey

Jen and Luke bury their hopes of having children only to be presented with a precarious favor: to take in a 17-year-old boy with a mysterious past. Full of poetry, movement, and witty dialogue, Surrogate explores the themes of loss, connection, and what it means to really love.

The Chelsea District Library and the Purple Rose Theatre are pleased to offer full-cast readings of upcoming or debut plays by new and established playwrights. Enjoy professional quality plays and acting with no admittance costs, and get a chance to share your thoughts and feedback with the director, playwright, and actors.
