Join CDL for a play reading and share your feedback.

He runs the best old school Italian restaurant in Chicago, but as retirement looms, Pietro (Petey) Novara finds himself juggling a no-nonsense ex-wife, an ambitious niece and a life-changing secret. A bittersweet tale about savoring the flavors of life, this delicious comedy shows just what can happen if you don’t stop and smell the ravioli.

The Chelsea District Library and the Purple Rose Theatre are pleased to offer full-cast readings of upcoming or debut plays by new and established playwrights. Enjoy professional quality plays and acting with no admittance costs, and get a chance to share your thoughts and feedback with the director, playwright, and actors.
