Kids ages 8-11 will learn to write poems and short stories based on the five senses.
Join author and local parent Michelle Webster-Hein for a writing workshop during National Poetry Month! Participants will learn "How to Eat a Poem" and explore poetry and short story writing through the five senses. Incorporating music, color, found objects, and lots of imagination, this workshop will help budding writers find stories anywhere and learn how to get the words onto the page. Each participant will choose 1-2 pieces to add to a Writing Zine, to be published at the conclusion of the workshop.
